Turkmenistan Delegation Participates in the "Yerevan Dialogue 2026" International Forum

On May 5, 2026, the prestigious international forum "Yerevan Dialogue 2026" commenced in Yerevan. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov, is participating in the event.

In his address, the head of the Turkmen delegation noted that Turkmenistan is actively strengthening the foundation of its energy sector through large-scale system modernization, improved energy efficiency, and a consistent reduction in emissions. Particular emphasis was placed on the gradual expansion of renewable energy sources (RES) while maintaining the country's economic stability and social well-being.

It was stated that Turkmenistan has already taken concrete steps toward creating an enabling environment for a "green" energy transition.

The delegation highlighted that the ecological transformation of the industry is directly linked to ensuring energy security, adapting the labor market, and achieving balanced regional development. Key priorities identified include guaranteeing uninterrupted energy supplies to the population, training a new generation of qualified specialists, and ensuring equal access for all communities to the benefits of attracted investments.

The speech also underscored the importance of constructive international cooperation in realizing national plans. It was noted that close interaction with reputable partners, such as the UN and international financial institutions, serves as a clear example of the effectiveness of external support.
